Rescue Club

A maintenance membership is worth having for two reasons. A system that gets looked at twice a year fails less often than one that only gets looked at when it stops, and a membership is the thing that puts a household near the front of the queue in the week the whole corridor is phoning at once.

Ours is not open yet. We are working the details out with the owner now, and we would rather show you nothing than publish a price and a list of benefits we have to walk back later. Call and we'll note you down for when it opens.

What We're Working Out

Four things have to be settled before this is a program rather than a page. Here is where each one stands.

  • How Often a Visit Should Happen

Two visits a year is the industry habit, cooling in spring and heating in fall. Whether that is the right shape for a house on this corridor is still being worked out.

  • What Priority Actually Buys

Members should be reached first in the week everyone is calling at once. We will not publish that promise until we know what it is worth in hours during a real July.

  • What the Repair Discount Is

A standing discount is the benefit members use most, so the number has to be one we can still honor in the ninth month of the year. It is not set.

  • Whether One Plan Covers Two Systems

Plenty of houses here run two systems, and a plan priced for one does not fit them. Included, added on, or quoted separately is an open question.

In the Meantime, Book the Tune-Up

The part of a membership you would actually use is already available without one. The precision tune-up is $89, it covers 21 checks on any residential system, and all 21 are written out on the maintenance page so you can read what you are buying before you book it.

Book one in spring and one in fall and you have the visit schedule a membership would have given you anyway. When the Rescue Club does open, the people who called get told first.

New customers. One unit. Expires 09/30.
